Singapore is a smart city. Although Singapore is small in size, its development cannot be underestimated. In particular, Singapore's smart city projects have performed well. It consists of Singapore Island and 63 nearby small islands, covering an area of 714.3 square kilometers, about the size of a medium-sized city in China. In 1965, Singapore, which was expelled, was isolated and had no chance to fight against the wall under the leadership of Lee Kuan Yew. After years of exploration and hard work, the "small land" Singapore has become a first-world country from a third-world country.

In the new era, with the development of science and technology, Singapore is not only known as a "city garden", but also is expected to become the world's first "smart country". In 2006, Singapore launched the "Smart Nation 2015 Plan", established the development concept of "Smart Nation", and fully implemented the development strategy of "Transformation from a traditional city-state to a 'Smart Nation'". In 2014, Singapore proposed the "Smart Nation 2025" 10-year plan, which is the world's first smart country blueprint. In July 2015, the internationally renowned data company IDC launched the selection of the "Asia-Pacific Smart City Development Index", and then IDC announced the "Smart City" that performed best in the 14 smart city functional service categories in the Asia-Pacific region except Japan (APeJ). Projects”, with Singapore taking first place in four categories.

Singapore's smart city construction is reflected in government affairs, transportation, ecology, tourism, medical care and other aspects. As a national initiative, Singapore is aiming to become the world's first "smart nation". In fact, the projects included in smart cities generally follow the same model: collect information, centralize processing, and communicate feedback. In essence, it speeds up "effective communication", which may be between equipment and people, between people, or between the government and citizens.
