The Internet of Things, commonly referred to as IoT, refers to the billions of devices around the world that are connected to the internet through sensors or Wi-Fi. Every device collects data, collectively known as big data, exchanged and analyzed: basically, this layer of digital intelligence that makes devices smarter than they would be if they were used alone.
Whether in response to COVID-19 or digital transformation initiatives, many new IoT use cases have emerged.
