This set of water environment IoT monitoring equipment was developed by a new R&D institution just established in February this year - Nanjing University Sensing and Imaging Technology Research Institute and the industry's leading enterprise - Jiangsu Nanda Five-Dimensional Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. Water environment IoT monitoring equipment includes small water quality monitoring stations on the ground and sensors extending into the water. The sensor looks like an elongated microphone. As the only IoT monitoring product, it was selected into the "2018 Key Promotion Guidance Catalog for Advanced Practical Water Conservancy Technologies" of the Ministry of Water Resources. By gridding extensive river waters and installing high-resolution IoT water quality monitoring equipment along the river, continuous and full-process dynamic management of river water quality can be achieved. For example, it can locate pollution sources and analyze suspected illegal discharges and other incidents; through long-term accumulation of water quality data in black and smelly rivers, it can provide information on the main pollutants in the river, pollution levels, long-term pollution changes, and river pollution distance, etc., to facilitate river regulation The plan provides the right medicine; through information technology, it compares changes in water quality, records the project implementation process, builds public comment channels, and tracks long-term management, so that the black and smelly river improvement work can be standardized and evaluated, and documented, etc.

As early as April last year, this set of equipment had been piloted in the Longjiang River and other rivers in Gulou District. At the beginning of this year, it was also deployed in the Jinchuan River, Shili Changgou, Yigan River and other rivers. The staff clicked on the "Internet of Things Monitoring System for Comprehensive Environmental Management" on their mobile phones. On the river distribution map, bright spots flashed. Pan Weisong revealed that compared with traditional manual monitoring, the ecological environment Internet of Things has wide coverage, high monitoring density, and pollution control. The advantages of not omitting incidents are the premise and foundation for establishing a monitoring and early warning mechanism for resource and environmental carrying capacity. On the basis of comprehensive acquisition of monitoring data, the institute plans to conduct analysis and research on the distribution of ecological environment quality, traceability of environmental pollution, and the impact of various factors on the overall ecological environment. At the same time, we will cooperate with relevant institutions and universities to carry out research on environmental big data and artificial intelligence applications.
