China Security Exhibition Network Enterprise Attention】China's aging process is driving the rapid advancement of the elderly care service industry. Elderly care institutions are springing up like mushrooms after a rain, and the number is rising sharply. However, "currently, nursing homes are still in the infrastructure construction stage, and the service capabilities required by the elderly need to be improved." said Gao Hui, leader of the certification expert team of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration. Data show that as of the end of 2017, my country's population over 60 years old was 240 million, accounting for 17.3% of the total population, and the population aged 65 and above was 158 million, accounting for 11.41% of the total population. Obviously, China has entered the arduous stage of elderly care, and how to serve the aging population is a major proposition of the century. In this era where AI technology is flying everywhere, technology provides new ideas for elderly care.

安防技术为智慧养老发展“加速度”

To realize smart elderly care, black technology is a strong support and is also where all current elderly care industry participants are putting their efforts, especially mature multinational groups in Europe and the United States. With the help of decades or hundreds of years of technological accumulation, they are rapidly entering the market while constantly innovating and leading the way. Leading the hardware technology trend of the elderly care industry. At this stage, the smart elderly care industry mainly uses new generation information technology products such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, and intelligent hardware to achieve effective connection and optimal allocation of individuals, families, communities, institutions, and healthy elderly care resources, and promote healthy elderly care services. Intelligent upgrades will improve the quality and efficiency of health and elderly care services. At present, there are five main categories of smart hardware needs. Smart homes create a comfortable environment; smart security ensures safety; smart health cares for the elderly; smart communication allows one-click communication; and smart wearables provide personal care.

On February 16, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the National Health and Family Planning Commission issued the "Smart Healthy Elderly Care Industry Development Action Plan (2017-2020)" (referred to as the "Action Plan"). Several key tasks in the "Action Plan" involve a number of security technology products, which has important guiding significance for further expanding the application of security product technology in the elderly care field. Among them, in terms of enriching the supply of intelligent health and elderly care service products, it is proposed to develop health management wearable devices, portable health monitoring equipment, self-service health testing equipment, intelligent elderly care monitoring equipment, and home service robots for different application environments such as families, communities, and institutions. Among them, for home service robots, it is required to focus on the development of intelligent service robots that meet the needs of individuals and families for household tasks, emotional companionship, entertainment and leisure, disability assistance, and security monitoring.

Although it is a feasible way for security companies to enter the elderly care field through hardware products, looking at the entire elderly care market, the security system is the foundation of smart elderly care, and the functions of individual products need to be in the system to achieve better results. In fact, the combination of smart home, surveillance cameras, smart hardware and other products forms a home security system. The home security system mainly uses various sensors, cameras, door and window magnets, card readers, access control controllers and other security monitoring equipment. Combined, it provides a comprehensive service system with security functions such as real-time monitoring, environmental sensing, intrusion alarm, and emergency help for residences. The security system can enhance the safety of the elderly's home life.

Big data for smart elderly care will also be the focus of development in the next period of time, and the greatest help that security can provide in the future should be at the data collection end. The security industry continues to make efforts in the fields of smart communities, smart transportation and smart homes, and its products are developing towards a diversified trend. It can be said that in the future, the devices around us will have security attributes, which will provide wireless positioning for help, falls and smart elderly care information services. Monitoring, night monitoring, intelligent analysis of the elderly’s behavior, prevention of lost patients with Alzheimer’s disease, intelligent video linkage, access control system linkage, mobile positioning and other information support to build a new three-dimensional smart elderly care model in the future.

Of course, as an emerging industry, "high-end" smart elderly care is still in its infancy. Although it has great prospects, it still has a long way to go. On the one hand, smart elderly care faces the problem of consumption concepts. The consumption concepts of the elderly are relatively traditional. Whether it is the purchase of services or products, price is always a factor that cannot be ignored. On the other hand, the elderly have traditional concepts and are unwilling to accept these new things. . In addition, many elderly people simply do not know how to use smart devices. As a result, the platform is set up but they cannot start, and the products are in place but cannot be used... In the long run, "smart elderly care" may become an empty talk.

Conclusion: How can the smart elderly care model truly enhance the sense of participation of the elderly? First, increase investment in smart elderly care, and the related technical issues involved need to be overcome quickly, and the elderly care service system should be built and improved through technology; secondly, publicity efforts should be increased to let the elderly feel the benefits and convenience brought by smart elderly care, and cultivate The consumption concept of smart elderly care; finally, relevant departments should strengthen overall coordination and do a good job in research and development of technical equipment, smart elderly care management and services, etc.
