New smart cities are the core carrier of building digital China and smart society. my country's new smart cities have entered a new stage of development that is people-oriented, results-oriented, unified and resource-intensive, and collaborative innovation. Various regions have carried out a lot of practice based on actual conditions, and some provinces (municipalities) have made high-level coordination and actively promoted it. Top-level design has become the prerequisite for the construction of new smart cities. The focus of new smart city development has gradually shifted from overall planning and comprehensive construction to creating a high-quality environment and designing a long-term sustainable development mechanism, and comprehensively innovated mechanisms such as organizational management, construction and operation, and interactive participation. New smart cities place more emphasis on the ubiquitous deployment of new smart facilities that integrate cloud and network terminals, strengthen common enabling support and platform integration such as data intelligence and information models, and pay more attention to the realization of data-driven, "three integrations and five crosses" smart production and smart cities. Development of application services such as life, smart ecology, and smart governance. New technological innovations, new standards and regulations, and new safety facilities are also simultaneously making breakthroughs and continuous improvements, providing strong support for the orderly development of new smart cities.
