How smart is a smart city?
1. What is the purpose of wisdom? ——Bring value, create beauty, and develop sustainably!
Now when it comes to wisdom and intelligence, everyone is talking about big data, cloud computing, smart hardware, Internet of Things, mobile Internet and other high-end things, instead of thinking about the value logic behind it. The so-called technology is just a method and means of implementation! means! means! You should know that there is a proverb: All roads lead to Rome! Not all problems and creations require very intelligent technology! To give a simple, familiar example, how a doctor and a migrant worker solved the same problem...
Unilever introduced a soap packaging production line, and found that this production line had a flaw: there were often boxes without soap. They couldn't sell empty boxes to customers, so they had to hire a postdoc who studied automation to design a plan to sort empty soap boxes. The postdoctoral fellow organized a scientific research team of more than a dozen people and used a combination of machinery, microelectronics, automation, X-ray detection and other technologies, spending 900,000 yuan to successfully solve the problem. Whenever an empty soap box passes through the production line, detectors on both sides will detect it and drive a robot to push the empty soap box away. There was a township enterprise in southern China that also bought the same production line. When the boss found out about this problem, he got very angry and found a small worker and said: "You can finish this for me, or else you can crawl away." Small worker He quickly figured out a way: He spent 90 yuan to place a high-power electric fan next to the production line and blew it hard, so that all the empty soap boxes were blown away.
This illustrates one thing. Smart technology is just a method, and methods are diverse. The cost of this smart method is still very high, and it is not the purpose of wisdom! So don’t just talk about big data and cloud computing when talking about smart cities...it seems like you will be out if you don’t talk about this.In addition to the high cost of smart technology, there is also the possibility that it will bring stupidity, which is not worth the gain!
2,Falling into the trap of wisdom - stupidity.
Technology itself cannot be said to be smart or stupid, what matters is the people and scenarios in which it is applied. Use it well, use it wonderfully, and it will scream naturally! I'm afraid that people will show off and be struck by lightning if they show off! It seems like I have to give another example...
You can pay attention to the traffic light countdown. The logic of setting a countdown at a red light is to consider human psychology. If there is no countdown, people will have an anxious mentality, which will increase the probability of running a red light and naturally increase the probability of traffic accidents. When people see how much time is left, they can reduce their anxiety about waiting. of. What is the logic behind the green light countdown? (PS: Many green lights also have countdowns of 10, 9, 8...) This is to tell you, look there are still three seconds left, go ahead! Go! There are still two seconds... As a result, the probability of tragedy naturally increases! Many foreign friends feel uncomfortable traveling in China. They wonder what the design logic of the green light countdown of the Ministry of Transportation is? Maybe those engaged in transportation have not considered how to design this issue.
The same technology brings completely different values in different scenarios! A kind of stupidity, a kind of wisdom.
Many times, a certain government wants to build a smart city project, and then starts to launch various big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things... What value will it bring? How to bring value? Can technology applications be achieved at this time? Do I need to use it? Is there any alternative? It’s true that his mother has money! So it’s just willfulness! Use smart technology for the name of wisdom! In fact, there is no wisdom or stupidity in technology. It’s just that the more people use it, the more wisdom and stupidity it will naturally have!
3. Wisdom vision——Incorporate human intelligence rather than technological intelligence.
As mentioned earlier, technology is a means, not an end. Although many places talk about smart cities, which include a lot of high and new technologies, they are actually superfluous. No more examples here. Wisdom requires design, implementation, feedback, and optimization in design. It is a self-feedback and correction smart system. Integrate human wisdom, rather than initially planning what technology to use, etc. Sometimes those so-called smart technologies are full of "scams", a scam about profit. Anyway, once the project is started, you can get money. As for the effect, haha... Which one is better in wisdom (Pian), wisdom (Qian), technology (Ben), and skill (Ling)? One is more "foreign" than the other!
On the surface, it seems that the main driving force for smart cities is the government. Personally, I think NO! It's the driving force behind it! A propaganda promoter.
Of course, the power of technology is undeniable. When preventing those who make money in the name of technology, we also need to see the smart side of technology. Just as the mobile Internet has brought us convenience, it has also revolutionized the way we live, entertain and communicate. This kind of change must develop towards a trend of serving the broad masses of the people and towards a better future life - social fairness, the power of justice, social acceptance, social convenience...
The above is just one person's opinion. Different opinions are welcome to discuss together. Recently, we are also sorting out some issues in the construction of smart cities. If you have different ideas, you are welcome to discuss them, in the name of "wisdom"!
