Tencent Establishes Smart Retail Strategic Cooperation Department
According to Tencent’s first-line news on the 21st, on March 20, the 2018 China Retail Digital Innovation Conference, hosted by the China Chain Store and Franchise Association, with the theme of “Driving Core Business Upgrades—Retail Digitalization 2.0”, opened in Shenzhen.
Lin Jinghua, Vice President of Tencent, spoke at a plenary meeting on the 21st, explaining for the first time the concept and core proposition of Tencent’s smart retail, analyzing how smart retail can improve the efficiency of full-link operations, optimize customer experience, and create New business opportunities.
Lin Jinghua said that ToB business is the company’s long-term strategic layout. Recently, Tencent established the "Smart Retail Strategic Cooperation Department" to promote the innovation and integration of capabilities, and further open up the user platform, big data technology, excellent product experience and connectivity accumulated over the years to partners. Tencent hopes to achieve win-win cooperation with partners in the retail industry to truly connect online and offline and maximize user value, thus stimulating a new round of growth momentum in the retail industry.
