The security identification cloud project jointly accepted by Tencent and Tianjin Airport uses the Tencent Mao ID system. This system is based on cloud engineering logic, integrates Tencent IoT and Tencent Cloud message concurrency, and is widely used in energy management, security monitoring, and facial recognition. identification and other fields. At the same time, the security identification cloud project is also the first successful acceptance project of Tencent Youtu's face recognition in the airport scene. It integrates the most advanced artificial intelligence biometric technology and intelligent security inspection assistance methods. One-to-one identity authentication can be achieved safely and efficiently. In terms of accuracy, Tencent Youtu's face recognition technology can reach an accuracy of 99%, ranking among the best in the world in the evaluation set of the internationally authoritative evaluation platform FDDB (Face Detection Data Set and Benchmark).

Tianjin Airport is applying this project to employee identity verification this time. It is matched with a magnetic card induction ID that contains personal information. Employees need to swipe the card first and then use facial recognition. The recognition system confirms that the visitor matches the information on the magnetic card. Afterwards, the airport employees will be allowed to smoothly pass through the gate security check and then enter the work area.

Third-party data shows that the annual passenger throughput of Tianjin Airport reached 16.872 million in 2016. The huge passenger turnover has placed higher requirements on airport security.
