Amsterdam is the world's leading smart city and is also a leader in smart airports. In 2015, the robot "Spencer" was officially employed at the Amsterdam Airport in the Netherlands as an airport guide, providing guidance services for passengers, hoping to reduce losses caused by passengers getting lost at the airport and missing flights.

In addition to intelligent robots, CIMC-TianDa Airport Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC-TianDa") signed a special contract with Amsterdam Airport in the Netherlands. According to this contract, CIMC-TianDa The self-developed world's first unmanned intelligent boarding bridge will first be put into use at Amsterdam Airport in the Netherlands. This unmanned intelligent boarding bridge has been successfully tested at Shenzhen CIMC Airport Base. It is expected that the first batch of unmanned boarding bridges will be used on a large scale at Amsterdam Airport by the end of 2019. For the boarding bridge (PBB) industry, this will be an epoch-making product, representing the highest level of boarding bridge intelligence. At the same time, all kinds of intelligent products of airport ground equipment involved in the airport business segment of CIMC are under intense research and development. In the future, the field of intelligent airports will be full of imagination.

With the unmanned boarding bridge, it will bring more convenience to the airport. As long as the operator sets the program in the system and presses the execution key remotely, the boarding bridge can automatically realize a safe and seamless connection with the aircraft door. This will reduce the time for connecting the boarding bridge to the aircraft from 3 minutes to 1 minute, speeding up the operating efficiency of the boarding bridge and the turnover efficiency of aircraft seats. At the same time, the application of technology will greatly reduce the number of on-site operators and improve the level of intelligence. The improvement will ultimately benefit the overall airport operation due to the improvement of efficiency and the reduction of cost.
